How is responsibility for elderly care shared in Indonesia, and how is it shaped by gender roles, family structures and public policy? As Indonesia’s population ages, these questions are becoming increasingly important.
The Australian Alumni GEDSI Network invites you to join an in-person discussion titled ‘Care Responsibility for the Elderly in Indonesia’, held in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
The session will feature opening remarks by Lia Marpaung, GEDSI Adviser at Australia Awards in Indonesia, followed by a panel discussion with experts and policymakers working at the intersection of ageing, care and inclusive development.
Participants will gain insights and engage in meaningful dialogue on elderly care through a Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) lens, exploring inclusive approaches that support individuals, families and communities.
