"Suara-suara Bergerak"

Kasih Rumala Group (Indonesian Schizophrenia Care Foundation Knot West Java & Atma Wimala Foundation House) present "Suara-suara Bergerak”: When a disability is not always visible.

In commemoration of World Mental Health Day, Kasih Rumala Group will be holding a seminar and public discussion with “Efforts to Advocacy and Promote Mental Health through Film Media and Public Service Advertisements” as the theme – which will be held on Sunday, 10 October 2021 at 08.00 AM WIB.

This event consists of several series of activities and seminar titles including:

1. Keynote Speech by the Minister of Health,
2. Opening by the Governor of West Java Province - Ridwan Kamil,
3. Review of the short documentary “Sewing the Future” and Public Service Advertisement “They Need to be Supported, Not Bullied”,
4. Experience of Involvement in Making Films on Disabilities,
5. The Role of Information and Communication Media in Disability Advocacy Efforts,
6. The Ideal Concept and Reality of Mental Health Promotion and Advocacy Efforts in Indonesia

The results of the production of Short Documentary Films and Public Service Advertisements regarding Mental Health and People with Mental Disabilities or People With Mental Disorders are the work of Kasih Rumala Group and the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Padjadjaran University – in collaboration with health service facilities (Puskesmas) Babakan Sari - Bandung City Health Office, Grha Atma Main Clinic, and the Special Mental Health Hospital of West Java Province. This production is also in partnership with Australia Awards and Sydney Southeast Asia Center (SSEAC) - The University of Sydney. It is hoped that this production can be inclusive, and be watched by all levels of society (including friends with any disabilities).
