Startup Stories – Adam Boyle (Pegasus)

Join this very special follow-up Startup Stories as they dive into the acquisition process with Adam Boyle, and hear what’s next on their roadmap – on 22 October 2021 at 8.00 AM AEDT.
Founded in 1987, Pegasus doesn’t have a traditional startup story and instead finds its roots as a pure labour-hire company. Adam Boyle was brought on as Chief Executive in 2007 and tasked with diversifying the business and concentrating future investment on growing and commercialising their tech product, Onsite Track Easy.
With Adam at the reigns, Pegasus is now a purely software-based company that provides workplace management solutions to companies including Woolworths, BHP, Visy, Lendlease, Aurizon and Ausgrid. The tech lets organisations manage their contractors and workers, giving them control over qualifications, competency, inductions, training, site safety, and assets on site. Adam and his team have set their product apart, leveraging their deep industrial roots and by keeping the customer and user front of mind with a single networked ‘passport’. They understand the problem and make it easy for workers to move across industries and organisations while getting to work safely.
Since 2013 Pegasus have experienced close to 25% year on year growth and is on track for 40% this year. The team raised $28million from Silicon Valley tech investment firm Accel-KKR, and more recently announced their acquisition by US-based firm Avetta, for an undisclosed amount. Adam and his team are poised to accelerate their growth globally and solidify their place in the industry as the leader in worker compliance software.
