Recorded Webinar: KSIxChange #39 – Strengthening the Aspect of Disability Inclusion in the Knowledge Integration Process for Policymaking

In commemoration of the 2021 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, this time KSIxChange discussed the importance of disability inclusion in the process of integrating knowledge into policy by applying an intersectional lens in analysing disability issues, because people with different identities and aspects of disability experience different barriers in their lives.
People with disabilities are one of the most affected groups by the COVID-19 pandemic, due to policies that have not been able to accommodate special needs and the lack of emergency preparedness. The GEDSI analysis not only helps us understand the challenges faced by people with disabilities who have diverse identities, but also helps identify opportunities for more inclusive program and policy implementation.
