Bergabunglah dengan Kuliah Kami tentang 'Mempermainkan Sistem: Alat-alat Inovatif untuk Melawan Misinformasi'

How can games help counter misinformation?

Join us for the online guest lecture, ‘Gaming the System: Innovative Tools to Counter Misinformation’, delivered by Dr John Cook from The University of Melbourne, on Friday, 26 September 2025, from 1:45pm to 4:00pm (Jakarta time).

This lecture will explore how misinformation spreads and why it poses such a complex challenge. Dr Cook will introduce the innovative use of digital games to ‘inoculate’ people against misleading rhetorical techniques, strengthening their ability to critically evaluate misinformation. Drawing on his collaborations with UNICEF and the Sabin Vaccine Institute, Dr Cook will share how cartoons, gameplay and critical thinking strategies can help scientists, educators and the public overcome psychological barriers in the fight against misinformation.

Indonesian graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions are especially encouraged to attend. Please RSVP via this link by Wednesday, 24 September 2025. Due to the limited availability of places, early registration is recommended. Attendees will receive an e-certificate for their participation.
