Project Rationale:
In Madiun district, particularly in the rural areas, people with disabilities and their families live below the poverty line. Primarily, people with disabilities have trouble accessing decent work. There is still stigma and discrimination towards them, so many tend to close themselves off. Government attention is needed. There is stigma, discrimination and inaccurate perceptions related to people with disabilities carrying out their daily activities, including what they can contribute in the economy to improve their welfare. This situation causes people with disabilities and their families to live in difficult circumstances and requires more attention. That is why rabbit farming through utilising abundant agricultural waste that is available to them is an important business opportunity for them and their families. This program will provide opportunities for people with disabilities and their families to earn an income independently.
