What are the impacts of studying in Australia?
From the 2025 annual survey, which gathered responses from 473 alumni of PhD, Masters, and Short Courses:
- 82 per cent of respondents frequently applied the knowledge and skills gained from their awards in their organisations or other professional contexts.
- 55 per cent experienced career advancement, partly due to their participation in the awards.
- 95 per cent view the awards as the best way to build their skills and networks to contribute to Indonesia’s development.
- 72 per cent contributed to Indonesia's development by leveraging the skills, knowledge, or networks and 28 per cent of alumni participated in a mutual collaboration between Australia and Indonesia as a result of their awards.
- Alumni report contributing to various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) based on their fields of study. The top three SDGs they contribute to are Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
