Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders to obtain a Masters or PhD from an Australian tertiary institution. The Scholarships have been an important component of the Australian Government’s aid program in Indonesia since 1953. Through study, research and networking, scholarship recipients develop the skills and knowledge to drive change and help build enduring people-to-people links with Australia.

The Scholarships offer a wide range of benefits that include English language and academic support before studying in Australia, a series of professional development and networking activities that will enrich the knowledge, experience and network of scholars prior to, during and after their study. Other benefit includes reasonable adjustments for inclusive participation of people with disability, disadvantaged women and those from equity target provinces. Please visit this page for more information on the Australia Awards Scholarships’ benefits.

Applicants are assessed on their professional qualities, soft skills, academic competence and, most importantly, their potential to impact development challenges in Indonesia.

Australia Awards in Indonesia aims to achieve a balance across female and male scholars and encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds, including applicants from Equity Target Groups (ETG).

Applications close on 3 May 2023 at 20.59 WIB. Applying is now even easier through a single application form at this link.

When applying online, all essential supporting documents must be uploaded on the online application form (Cognito form) to meet the specific requirements for Indonesia.

We advise applicants to submit their applications online well before the closing date. The online application facility will be busiest in the days leading up to the application deadline, and applicants may experience delays.

Applicants who are selected as scholarship recipients will be invited and assisted in completing the OASIS system.
