Are you interested in gaining insight to understand more about the complexity of the climate change challenge? Join our online lecture on Friday, 14 April, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Jakarta time and gain insight into the topic with Associate Professor Paul Dargusch from the University of Queensland.
Climate change is now affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting lives, communities, and countries dearly today and even more tomorrow. Responding to climate change involves decisions requiring trade-offs between costs and benefits. These are complex issues and require an understanding across multiple disciplines.
In this lecture, Paul reviews ten essential understandings to develop a thoughtful response to climate change. These include an understanding of how climate systems work, the nature of the climate change challenge, how we can account for greenhouse gas emissions (for nations, organisations, and products), sustainable energy supply systems, carbon in natural resources, climate policy and carbon markets, and the role of the finance sector in responding to climate change.
The e-certificate for participation is available. If you want to attend this event, RSVP by 12 April at this link. Click here for more information about the online lecture and Associate Professor Paul Dargusch.
