Are you ready to take on the challenge of combating misinformation and disinformation? We invite you to apply for the Australia Awards Short Course on The Challenge of Misinformation and Disinformation: Fostering Information Integrity and Media Literacy in Democratic Societies.
This two-week short course in Australia aims to empower Indonesian policymakers, journalists, activists, content creators/developers, and social media influencers to address and counter misinformation and disinformation positively. Participants will delve into understanding the broader information ecosystem, exploring underlying factors driving the spread of misinformation and disinformation, and examining the intersection between human rights and efforts to counter these challenges. Additionally, the course will cover effective methods such as investigative journalism, fact-checking, pre-bunking initiatives, community digital media, information literacy skills development, artificial intelligence tools, and private-sector partnerships.
