Project Rationale:

As one of the Indonesian provinces heavily dependent on tourism, Bali has seen the collapsing of its economy within the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020, Bali has lost almost 100 trillion Rupiahs due to the pandemic. This has caused Bali's unemployment rate to jump to 5,63% where by August 2020, more than 105.000 workers have lost their jobs. Many, unfortunately, are the youth (18 to 35 years old).

Current governmental solutions have not focused on building the resiliency of its people to face future unpredictable situations or complex crises.

Project Beneficiaries:

The beneficiaries of our program is categorised into two groups:

  • Group 1 - Bali's general youth: 1000 youths
  • Group 2 - Bali’s YSEI Ethicalpreneurs: 100 youths (20 youth groups) From this, 12 groups to receive further assistance (third phase) to develop their prototypes and launch their green businesses.
