Annex B: Information Sheet on the PDP Law

This Information Sheet provides details regarding Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law). In accordance with the PDP Law, you have certain rights and protections related to the collection, use, sharing, and management of your Personal Data.

What is Personal Data:

The PDP Law defines Personal Data as any data about an individual that can be identified, either individually or in combination with other information, directly or indirectly, using electronic and/or non-electronic systems.

Rights Related to Collected Personal Data

Under the PDP Law, you have rights related to Personal Data collected by managing contractor. These rights include:

  • Obtain details: The right to obtain details about how your Personal Data is processed.
  • Access: The right to access and obtain a copy of Personal Data.
  • Correction: The right to correct or update Personal Data.
  • Deletion: The right to request the deletion of Personal Data.
  • Withdraw Consent: The right to withdraw consent related to Personal Data.

When Consent is Not Required

There are certain conditions where consent for the collection and use of Personal Data is not required:

  • Contractual obligations: When the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract involving the data subject as a party, or to fulfill the data subject's request before entering into a contract.
  • Legal obligations: When the processing of personal data is necessary to comply with applicable laws for the data controller.
  • Vital interests: When the processing of personal data is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject.
  • Public interest protection.
  • Legitimate interests: When the processing of personal data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, considering the purpose, necessity, and balance between the data controller's interests and the data subject's rights.

Procedure for Accessing, Correcting, and Withdrawing Your Personal Data
