Join Our Lecture on “Wellbeing and Mental Health: How Connecting to Nature Can Heal”

Are you interested in learning how nature can positively influence wellbeing and mental health? Join our online lecture titled "Wellbeing and Mental Health: How Connecting to Nature Can Heal" on Friday, 21 July 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Jakarta time and gain insight from Dr Sonja Kuzich and Jacqueline Reid.

During the COVID-19 lockdowns in many countries, whilst stuck in our home separated from the world outside, many of us began to notice a yearning for nature within ourselves. This yearning stems from a strong desire to be in, and part of, the natural environment. This deep biological desire, known as biophilia, is built into our DNA, programming us to thrive when we can connect to nature. It appears that being in a green or blue (water) natural environment can not only alleviate existing depression and other mental health concerns but has a possible protective effect.

Nature is proving to be a low-cost but efficacious therapeutic intervention that supports our mental health and well-being. This lecture explains the ‘what’, ‘why’, and ‘how’ of connecting with nature to heal.

Graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions from Indonesia who are interested in attending this event, RSVP by Tuesday, 18 July, to this link: https://oz.link/rsvp . Click here for more information about the online lecture and Dr Sonja Kuzich and Jacqueline Reid.
