With growing awareness of mental health challenges in the construction industry, how can we build a more resilient workforce in one of the world’s most demanding sectors? Join us for an insightful online lecture, ‘Building Resilience: Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Construction Sector’, by A/Prof. Riza Yosia Sunindijo from UNSW Sydney, on Thursday, 5 June 2025, from 1:45pm to 4:00pm (Jakarta time).
While the construction industry plays a vital role in global development, it is also marked by high levels of psychological distress, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation among its workers. A/Prof. Riza Yosia Sunindijo, Deputy Head of School of Built Environment at UNSW Sydney and an expert in work health and safety, will highlight the critical need to prioritise mental health in the construction sector. This lecture will give a broad overview of mental health and wellbeing in the construction industry with a particular focus on strategies to improve mental health and wellbeing at individual, organisational, and industry levels.
This lecture is open to the public, with graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions from Indonesia especially encouraged to participate. Please RSVP via this link by Tuesday, 3 June, to confirm attendance. Attendees will receive an e-certificate in recognition of their participation.
