Project Rationale:
Adding value to Sumbawa honey, practicing sustainable honey collecting methods and producing honeybee-based products will bring several benefits to the stakeholders. Aside from economic advantages in the short run, for the local people and wild honey collectors, practicing a more sustainable and environmentally friendly method can maintain wild honeybee colonies. This, in turn, can increase harvest time, contributing to a long term economic benefit.
