Peggy Hartanto is one of Indonesia’s most celebrated young fashion designers.

Peggy attained a fashion degree from Raffles College of Design and Commerce in 2009, graduating with an Award of Excellence as the top student in her class.

Following an internship, she joined the staff of Australian designer Collette Dinnigan, where she worked in the quality control and production department and assisted the design department.

Peggy created her own label in 2011 and the first collection debuted at the Rosemount Australia Fashion Week in Sydney, Australia, only three years after she graduated from Raffles. She returned to her hometown of Surabaya in 2011, where she focused on building her career.

Peggy now has a brand representative in a showroom in Los Angeles. Her designs have attracted many American celebrities including co-host of E! Channel's Fashion Police Giuliana Rancic, actress Odette Annable and international modelling sensation Gigi Hadid.

“I had wonderful mentors who always challenged my limits. They taught me not to be proud too quickly of what I had created, but to improve with every task,” said Peggy referring to her time in Australia.

In a new career milestone, Peggy was recently listed in the 2016 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list of promising young leaders, entrepreneurs and game changers.
