Project Rationale:

Nurses, as one of the frontliners who provide support for patients with COVID-19, experience huge pressure and stress in their workplace. Studies have shown that working in the pandemic has caused decreased wellbeing and increased mental health issues in nurses. One of the most general and prevalent conditions that is experienced by nurses when working in the pandemic is anxiety.

Anxiety is a human’s response to stress. While at some levels, anxiety is considered normal and can be beneficial for humans, anxiety that is persistent and which prevents individuals from coping effectively will need attention. For nurses, high levels of anxiety might impact their personal wellbeing and their performance at work. It is crucial for nurses, as frontliners in the health care system to receive support, to prevent further mental health or psychological issues.

Project Beneficiaries:

250 nurses who work in COVID-19 referrals hospitals, in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.
